  2. The solution to this hypothetical problem is to leave the puppy at home and spend the winter in Australia, methinks.

  4. Even better - take the puppy to Australia… Or the west coast! (a bit cheaper to get to) There’s green grass here!!! I saw someone gardening - in January!

If not, I think Denver deserves such new games, don’t you?

  6. Although some days I feel like shipping the puppy pretty much anywhere else, that’s rare. However, a trip to someplace warmer would be nice!…

A Cautionary Tale

So, if you decide to take your overgrown more-legs-than-coordination Great Dane puppy for a walk in the snow, and you decide to wear your snowshoes because the snow is pretty deep, it’s a good idea to pay attention to where that puppy is at all times. Because if you are striding along briskly, and the puppy, who now weighs more than you do, leaps onto the backs of your snowshoes, you will fall down. Face first. And putting your hands out to break your fall will do no good whatsoever. (See above re: deep snow.) You’ll just sink in all the way up to your shoulders, getting snow up your jacket cuffs, down your collar, and behind your glasses. Your puppy, meanwhile, will immediately identify this as a Fun New Game, and will jump on you.

Um, not that I’m speaking from experience, or anything.
