Short Legs

Short legs are a bit of a disadvantage if the snow is really deep.

This isn’t a great photo but it cracked me up. Ruby shows her Beagle side strongly on our walks, running at full speed with her nose down on whatever scent she can find. This doesn’t work so well in the snow, especially in fresh snow that has unexpectedly deep drifts in spots.
